Rick Hammond has been chosen to be part of a panel discussing the ways 2020 have shaped and reshaped the insurance industry. The panel, which also includes several state insurance commissioners, is part of the 2020 Virtual Insurance Industry Institute sponsored by the Federation of Defense & Corporate Counsel (FDCC). The conference is normally available on a limited basis, but because of the unprecedented challenges 2020 has brought to the insurance industry, FDCC has opened the registration to all FDCC members’ colleagues and clients.
Hammond, a partner in the firm’s Chicago office, focuses his practice on matters relating to property insurance coverage, fire and explosion cases, and bad faith. He also serves as an expert witness on insurer bad faith and as an adjunct Professor of Insurance Law at Loyola University Chicago Law School. In addition, he is a member of Loyola University Chicago’s Board of Trustees. Hammond is a Past President of the Illinois Association of Defense Trial Counsel. Before entering private practice, he was the Regulatory and Administrative Manager of the Illinois Department of Insurance’s Chicago office.
