Schiff Hardin LLP is pleased to announce that Partner Adam Diederich has been named to the board of directors of the Chicago Lawyers’ Committee for Civil Rights, a group of civil rights lawyers and advocates committed to securing racial equity and economic opportunity for all through pro bono legal representation.
Adam has been actively involved with the Chicago Lawyers’ Committee for Civil Rights for many years. He has worked with the committee’s Under Law’s Education Equity Project to represent students who faced expulsion and to intercept the school-to-prison pipeline. The project named him the 2015 Educational Equity Project Advocate of the Year. Adam also worked with the Chicago Lawyers’ Committee for Civil Rights to represent students in civil rights actions. In 2016, Adam was presented with the committee’s Young Lawyer Pro Bono Award.
Adam has also represented pro bono clients in divorce, custody, and child support matters through the firm’s partnership with Chicago Volunteer Legal Services, as well as criminal defendants and individuals seeking post-conviction relief.
