HSPRD congratulates Lauren Phyllis Buford on being sworn in to the board of directors for the Women’s Bar Association of Illinois following a highly competitive selection and appointment process.
Ms. Buford’s practice focuses on the defense of hospitals, nurses, and physicians in medical malpractice matters. She joined the firm in 2018. Over the course of her career, she has obtained the dismissal of clients during the discovery phase of litigation, resolved disputed claims through mediation and successfully tried jury and bench trials. Ms. Buford also serves as an Adjunct Professor at Loyola University Chicago School of Law, where she teaches a 1L course on diversity, inclusion, and the legal professional entitled Professional Identity Formation.
