Lewis Brisbois is pleased to welcome seasoned trial attorney Michael Franz as a partner in its General Liability and Transportation Practices. Mr. Franz, who will work out of the firm's Chicago and Fort Lauderdale offices, joins Lewis Brisbois from a civil litigation defense law firm where his practice included business and transportation litigation, as well as extensive trial and arbitration in condominium/real estate, fraud, toxic/mass torts, and transportation law, including personal injury defense, wrongful death, and products liability litigation. He also has experience in insurance defense, insurance coverage, arson, consumer fraud, and warranty law actions.

Pittsburgh Managing Partner and Chair of Lewis Brisbois' Transportation Practice Todd A. Gray said he was pleased with Mr. Franz's decision to join Lewis Brisbois: "I have known Michael most of my adult life, first as a friend, and then as a great lawyer. He is one of those lawyers I have always wished I could add to our team, and now that has become a reality. With his talent, experience, and multi-faceted practice, Michael is a welcome addition to our firm, and will be a tremendous asset to our clients."

Similarly, Mr. Franz noted, "I’m excited to join Lewis Brisbois’ national General Liability and Transportation teams. It’s a privilege to be working with such a strong group of attorneys across the country who have a wide range of experience in litigation and trial work. I'm looking forward to adding my expertise in transportation law to help grow the practice and make a difference for our clients."

A graduate of Michigan State University College of Law, Mr. Franz received a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Michigan. He is admitted to practice in Illinois, Florida, and Michigan.
