Susan Charles, a partner in Troutman Pepper’s Environmental and Natural Resources Practice Group, has been named among the 2021 “Women of Influence” by the Chicago Business Journal. After an editorial review process, the publication selected 10 women who have made a significant impact on their organizations, served as mentors and leaders to others, and contributed to the Chicago community. Charles is one of only two attorneys who made the list.

Charles has a robust legal practice, advising clients across the country on all aspects of environmental law including regulatory compliance, risk assessment, enforcement defense, and environmental litigation. In addition to her legal practice, Charles assists with firm recruiting and mentoring. She is currently the co-chair of the Women in Law Empowerment Forum’s Chicago Region and a member of the Women’s Board of the Lincoln Park Zoo.
