Heplerbroom issued the following announcement on Mar. 8.
The judge in a recent Cook County insurance coverage bench trial found in favor of HeplerBroom’s client (a Fortune 500 insurance company) by declaring that the client had no duty to indemnify five claimants for injuries that arose from an alleged hit-and-run motor vehicle accident. Associate attorney Joseph Tripoli represented the client and successfully argued that the insurer rightly denied all claims after claimants mispresented material facts during the presentation of their claims and failed to cooperate with their insurer during the claims investigation.
Tripoli concentrates his practice on the defense of civil litigation, with a focus on the defense of injury claims involving third-party liability and insurance/medical fraud. He is also experienced in general liability defense and serves as an arbitrator for the Circuit Court of Cook County’s Mandatory Arbitration Program as well as for the American Arbitration Association. Tripoli has been named an Emerging Lawyer by Illinois Leading Lawyers.
