Morgan Lewis has added labor/management  relations lawyer Mark Stolzenburg, a former field attorney at the  National Labor Relations Board (NLRB), as a partner resident in  Chicago.

“Businesses of all sizes across the full range of industries rely on  our leading labor and employment practice for trusted advice on  navigating labor-management issues in both union and nonunion  workplaces,” said Firm Chair Jami McKeon.  “Mark’s impressive skillset and first-hand knowledge of these critical  matters, along with his collaborative work style, make him a strong fit  for our deep bench of lawyers with a long tradition of government  service as well as for our clients who look for true partnerships in  navigating complex regulatory landscapes.”

Mark focuses on representing management across various industries,  including healthcare, manufacturing, and transportation and logistics,  on a variety of issues. He negotiates collective bargaining agreements,  represents employers in labor arbitrations, assists with union  organizing and decertification campaigns, and counsels employers on  day-to-day issues regarding labor/management relations. Mark represents  employers before the NLRB, handles labor-related litigation in federal  and state courts, and represents employers in disputes with union  Taft-Hartley pension and benefit funds.

“With his ‘in the trenches’ experience, particularly before the NLRB, Mark will be a great asset to our clients,” said Grace Speights,  leader of the firm’s global labor and employment practice. “Mark will  have a day-one impact as he seamlessly integrates into our  labor/management relations team, many of whom served as members of the  NLRB and other regulatory bodies within the labor field.”
