Allen Guan will serve on a panel titled “We Don’t Talk About Venue: Overview and Recent Developments Regarding Bankruptcy Venue” for The Honorable Robert E. Ginsberg Annual Program on Commercial Bankruptcy hosted by the Chicago Bar Association.
The panelists will present an overview of the statutory provisions governing bankruptcy venue, review issues such as forum shopping, ongoing legislative reform efforts, and court-driven procedural changes affecting the assignment of Chapter 11 cases. This panel will also examine the growing popularity of the “Texas Two-Step,” focusing on issues connected with the Chapter 11 filing by LTL Management LLC, the Johnson & Johnson subsidiary.
