Key takeaways

  • Elise Schuller Barajas joins BakerHostetler’s Dallas office as a partner in the firm’s Business Practice Group and member of the Healthcare Industry team. • Barajas has extensive experience representing clients in connection with healthcare transactions and other regulatory matters, and is board certified in health law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization.
  • Mulcahy represents private equity funds and their portfolio companies, and other strategic and financial investors, on mergers and acquisitions and other corporate matters.
  • Barajas and Mulcahy are the latest in a string of strategic lateral hires in the Business Practice Group, and their arrival follows the additions of Margaret Butler (New York), Stephen Ruscus (Washington, D.C.) and Jeff Diener (San Francisco).
Why this matters

Barajas’ addition showcases BakerHostetler’s commitment to further growing its impressive healthcare capabilities and its quickly expanding Dallas presence. Her experience representing clients across the healthcare spectrum and in healthcare transactions perfectly complements the firm’s highly regarded Healthcare Industry team.

Mulcahy’s arrival further strengthens a robust Private Equity team at BakerHostetler and adds more expertise in middle market private equity deals. He is the second significant partner addition to the Chicago office in two months and the second private equity partner addition to the Chicago office in the past 12 months.
