International law firm Reed Smith has been named by the Public Interest Law Initiative (PILI) to its 2022 Pro Bono Recognition Roster, recognizing the firm as one of 42 leading law firms and corporations providing pro bono services in the State of Illinois.
The Pro Bono Recognition Roster honors law firms and corporations that have made significant commitments and contributions to pro bono throughout Illinois, ensuring that individuals, families and communities who are in need receive legal services.
Chicago-based partner Robert LoPrete, co-chair of the office’s pro bono committee, commented: “We are proud and delighted to have been recognized by the Public Interest Law Initiative for our focus on providing pro bono support to organizations and communities in and around Chicago. Pro bono is a central part of what it means to be a lawyer at Reed Smith and across our firm internationally we devote over 85,000 hours a year to pro bono activities.”
The Pro Bono Recognition Roster was announced at PILI’s Annual Pro Bono Reception, held in Chicago on June 15, 2022. PILI’s mission is to engage, inspire and empower those advancing equal access to justice.
