The Chicago Daily Law Bulletin & Chicago Lawyer recognized women attorneys for its 3rd Annual Salute awards celebrating influential women in law. The honorees were evaluated for their work to mentor and promote other women in the profession, their success in the legal community, and being a shining example of leadership.
Emily serves as a member of the Litigation Department Advisory Council, co-chair of the firm’s DEI Outreach Subcommittee, a member of the Women’s Initiative Steering Committee, a founding member of the firm’s Trade Secrets, Restrictive Covenants, and Unfair Competition practice group, and a delegate of the firm to the Chicago Chapter of the Coalition for Women’s Initiatives in Law.
Emily represents clients in complex commercial litigation, with an emphasis on consumer fraud, false advertising, and trade secret misappropriation matters. She has experience with all phases of litigation, including successfully representing clients at trial, authoring and arguing dispositive motions and appeals, and taking and defending depositions across the country and around the world. Emily writes and speaks frequently on the topic of trade secret misappropriation, most recently serving as a panelist at the spring meeting of the Sedona Conference Working Group on Trade Secrets.
