Littler, the world’s largest employment and labor law practice representing management, is pleased to announce the launch of its Inclusion, Equity & Diversity (IE&D) Playbook: a comprehensive collection of resources designed to help employers navigate the legal and practical considerations associated with IE&D programs.
The Playbook is a free, self-service tool that provides employers with resources – including videos, FAQs, podcasts, and high-level summaries – that help answer fundamental IE&D compliance questions, assess current efforts, uncover gaps and challenges, and identify IE&D programming opportunities.
“Employers are under more pressure than ever to create inclusive, equitable and diverse workplaces – and for good reason,” said EEO & Diversity Practice Group Co-Chair Alyesha Asghar Dotson, who led development of the Playbook. “Yet as business, diversity and HR leaders endeavor to drive these initiatives forward, they must remember that they come with important compliance considerations, alongside vital opportunities. Our Playbook meets organizations where they are on their IE&D journeys and provides information to help them create meaningful and sustainable strategies that support broader employee engagement, innovation and talent initiatives.”
Littler’s IE&D Playbook focuses on 12 key areas to assist employers in understanding various elements of building or expanding IE&D programs, such as:
- Securing organizational buy-in
- Analyzing employee demographic data
- Effective training initiatives
- Recruiting and retaining diverse talent
- Considerations for global employers
- Reporting and ESG
- Legally-compliant ways to assess progress
In addition to Dotson, the Playbook was developed by Littler Principal Corinn Jackson and Knowledge Management Counsels Meghann Barloewen and Johnny Wong, with input from the firm’s deep bench of EEO & Diversity attorneys.
