Marcia M. Meis, Director of the Administrative Office of the Illinois Courts, announced that the Nineteenth Judicial Circuit judges voted to select Ruth H. Lofthouse and James R. M. Newman as associate judges of the Nineteenth Judicial Circuit.
Ms. Lofthouse received her undergraduate degree in 2001 from the University of Florida in Gainesville, Florida; her MBA in 2016 from DePaul Kellstadt Graduate School of Business in Chicago, Illinois and her Juris Doctor in 2006 from The John Marshall Law School in Chicago, Illinois.
Ms. Lofthouse is currently affiliated with the Lake County State’s Attorney’s Office in Waukegan, Illinois. Mr. Newman received his undergraduate degree in 1996 from the University of Iowa in Iowa City, Iowa and his Juris Doctor in 1999 from the University of Iowa in Iowa City, Iowa. Mr. Newman is currently affiliated with the McHenry County State’s Attorney’s Office in Woodstock, Illinois.
