Reed Smith once again has been named to the Pro Bono Recognition Roster of the Public Interest Law Initiative (PILI), which recognizes Reed Smith as one of 44 leading law firms and corporations providing pro bono services in Illinois. The pro bono roster was announced at PILI’s Annual Pro Bono Reception in Chicago on June 21.
The firm achieved its best year ever for pro bono hours, delivering 92,000 pro bono hours across its global platform to support communities and people in need. It worked on matters of great public importance and achieved positive outcomes for pro bono clients.

And in a case that reached national prominence, our lawyers conducted an independent investigation and prepared a report on the case of Richard Glossip, a state inmate in Oklahoma on death row since 1997.”
Reed Smith's areas of pro bono focus include:
- Protecting voting rights
- Providing refugee resettlement and immigration assistance
- Meeting the needs of children
