Morgan Lewis partners Elizabeth Herrington and Sharon Perley Masling have been named 2023 Trailblazers in the Class Action/Mass Tort Litigation and Employment & Discrimination Law categories, respectively, by The National Law Journal. The list highlights individuals who stand out as agents of change in their practice areas.

Beth was named a Class Action/Mass Tort Litigation Trailblazer for leading the defense of high-exposure class actions, including those involving consumer fraud and claims under the Illinois Biometric Information Privacy Act, and obtaining a recent trial victory on behalf of a travel technology company. As the leader of the firm’s Chicago litigation practice, Beth focuses on complex commercial and class action litigation across the United States, including management of multijurisdictional-related investigations and litigation. She represents domestic and international retail and ecommerce companies, technology and mobility companies, consumer service providers, and product manufacturers in high-exposure investigations and lawsuits that involve fraud, privacy claims, tax, and trade secret theft.

Sharon was named an Employment & Discrimination Law Trailblazer for her leadership in implementing multidisciplinary task forces and responding to external forces that impact employers and their workforces. Sharon co-leads the firm’s DEI & Affirmative Action Task Force and the firm’s Reproductive Rights Task Force, and she developed and led the firm’s COVID-19 Task Force. As a leader of Morgan Lewis’s workplace culture consulting and training practice, Sharon helps companies and organizations create safe, respectful, diverse, and inclusive workplaces. She provides insight on the enforcement of all employment civil rights laws and advises employers on employment discrimination issues.
