Goers to Serve as Coach for Chicago-Kent College of Law Moot Court

Swanson, Martin & Bell, LLP Associate Mary J. Goers will serve as a coach for Team Chicago-Kent College of Law at the 2023 Judge Thomas Tang and Dr. Pearl Tang Moot Court Regional Competition on October 13-14.

Goers was asked back after making a great impression on mentees and professors in past years. She enjoys encouraging current law students to hone their oral argument skills and also serves as a mentor to them. Her team this year is comprised of students belonging to the Asian Pacific American Law Students Association (APALSA).

Mary J. Goers focuses her practice in medical malpractice, professional liability, and general litigation. Mary was an active member of Chicago-Kent’s Moot Court Honor Society and competed in several moot court competitions while attending. Learn more about Mary and her practice here.

The Judge Thomas Tang and Dr. Pearl Tang Moot Court Competition is an appellate advocacy competition sponsored annually by the NAPABA Law Foundation, a non-profit, charitable, and educational affiliate of the National Asian Pacific American Bar Association (NAPABA). The purpose of the competition is to help law students develop advocacy skills and to foster legal talents of the future.
