Am Law 100 firm Polsinelli has welcomed Patrick T. Muffo as a new shareholder in the firm’s Intellectual Property Department. Joining the firm in Chicago, Muffo is an experienced intellectual property (IP) attorney who focuses his practice on the unique needs of middle-market companies.

Muffo is a full-service IP attorney, focusing his practice on providing IP services to middle-market companies by litigating IP disputes, managing IP portfolios and negotiating licensing deals. He is widely recognized for his extensive experience in representing defendants in "patent troll" lawsuits, establishing himself as a prominent figure in the field.
Prior to joining Polsinelli, Muffo was a partner at another Am Law 100 firm. He received his J.D. from the University of New Hampshire, Franklin Pierce School of Law and holds a B.S., cum laude, in Materials Science and Engineering from Virginia Tech.
