CHICAGO – A driver has filed a lawsuit for negligence against another driver following a rear-end collision in Chicago.

Plaintiff Samantha Marabotti filed the lawsuit in Cook County Circuit Court against defendant Taylor L. Burford, citing allegations of negligence.

According to court documents, on April 4, 2023, Marabotti was traveling southbound on Eola Road and was approaching the intersection of Haverhill Drive in Aurora when she was allegedly rear-ended by Burford. Marabotti alleges that Burford failed to reduce the speed of his vehicle for traffic ahead and that she sustained severe physical injuries during the collision.

The lawsuit asserts that Burford negligently failed to operate his vehicle safely and in accordance with Illinois traffic laws.

Marabotti is seeking damages for pain, suffering, mental anguish, medical expenses and loss of normal life, plus court costs and any other relief the court deems proper. She is represented by attorney Alex Gerteis of The Kryder Law Group, LLC, in Chicago.
