CHICAGO – A married couple from Minnesota has filed an injury lawsuit, alleging that another driver suddenly turned into them on Interstate 294.
Plaintiffs Mohammad Wazwaz and Insaf Quttob filed a lawsuit in Cook County Circuit Court against defendant Kyle Comer, citing allegations of negligence.
According to court documents, the complaint relates to a motor vehicle collision that occurred on November 28, 2021, on Interstate 294 in Illinois. The plaintiffs, a married couple from Minnesota, claim that they were traveling southbound when Comer, a resident of Indiana who was driving in the same direction, suddenly turned his vehicle into the plaintiffs' vehicle without warning, causing a collision.
The complaint asserts that Comer failed to exercise reasonable care and caution in the operation of his vehicle and cites various forms of negligence, including driving at a speed that was unreasonable, failing to keep a proper lookout, and neglecting to apply brakes to prevent a collision.
The plaintiffs claim that they suffered physical injuries and damages as a result of the collision. They are seeking an award in excess of $50,000 for loss of consortium, medical expenses, lost earnings, pain and suffering, disability, mental distress, and other related costs, plus interest, court costs, and any other relief the court deems proper.
The plaintiffs are represented by attorney Eric M. Terry of TorHoerman Law, LLC, in Edwardsville.
