CHICAGO – A driver has filed a negligence lawsuit, claiming that he was seriously injured in a rear-end collision on 95th Street in Oak Lawn.

According to a lawsuit filed in Cook County Circuit Court, on Dec. 10, 2021, the plaintiff, Tommie Beasley, was driving westbound on 95th Street in Oak Lawn when he was suddenly rear-ended by the defendant, Amanda Benson, who was traveling in the same direction.

Benson is accused of several acts of negligence, including failing to keep a proper lookout, failing to keep her vehicle under control, failing to stop her vehicle, and following too closely behind Beasley's car.

Beasley claims to have sustained serious and permanent injuries as a result of the collision. He is seeking damages for pain, suffering, mental anguish, loss of earnings, and medical expenses, plus court costs and any other relief the court deems proper.
