CHICAGO – A driver has filed a negligence lawsuit following a vehicle collision on 95th Street in Chicago.
According to a lawsuit filed in Cook County Circuit Court, the plaintiff, Tyler Beasley, claims that on Dec. 11, 2021, he was driving westbound on 95th Street when the defendant, Marquis Ezell, who was driving in the same direction, struck his vehicle and caused a collision
Ezell is accused of several acts of negligence, including operating his vehicle at an unreasonable speed, failing to decrease speed to avoid collision, failing to provide proper warning of the impending collision, operating a vehicle with inadequate brakes, failing to drive within his lane, and failing to keep a proper lookout.
Beasley claims to have sustained serious injuries as a result of the collision. He is seeking damages in excess of $50,000 for pain, suffering, loss of normal life, disability, disfigurement, loss of wages, damages to personal property, and medical expenses, plus court costs and any other relief the court deems proper.
