CHICAGO — A driver has filed a negligence lawsuit against another driver, claiming that he was injured following a vehicle collision at the intersection of Golf and New Wilke Roads in Rolling Meadows.
According to a complaint filed in the Cook County Circuit Court, on Feb. 12, 2022, plaintiff Paul Dudesek was driving westbound on Golf Road at or near its intersection with New Wilke Road in the City of Rolling Meadows when his vehicle was struck by another vehicle driven by defendant Daniel Bruner. Bruner was allegedly attempting to make a right turn into the westbound lanes of Golf Road from the southbound lanes of New Wilke Road when he collided with Dudesek.
Bruner is accused of several acts of negligence, including failing to yield the right of way while making a right-hand turn, entering the intersection unsafely, changing lanes when it was unsafe to do so, attempting a right turn on a red light, failing to decrease speed, failing to keep his vehicle under proper control, failing to take evasive action to avoid collision, failing to keep a proper lookout, failing to use his turn signal, and distracted driving.
Dudesek claims to have sustained injuries to various parts of his body which necessitated medical care and treatments as a result of Bruner's negligence. He is seeking damages in excess of $50,000 for pain, suffering, mental anguish, disability, disfigurement, medical costs, and property damage, plus court costs.
The plaintiff is represented by attorney Anthony Elman of Elman Jospeh Law Group, LLC, in Chicago.
