Jane Doe A, on behalf of her minor daughter Jane Doe B, has filed a lawsuit against Glenview Park District in the Circuit Court of Cook County, Illinois. The case, identified as 2024L003631, was filed on April 4, 2024 and accuses the defendant of negligence leading to sexual exploitation and misconduct.

The plaintiff's lawyers from Curcio & Casciato allege that an employee of Glenview Park District, Zachary Cortes, sexually exploited and abused Jane Doe B at the Splash Landings Indoor Aquatic Complex. The incident occurred on January 20, 2024; however, the defendant allegedly knew about Cortes' predatory behavior since January 5 but failed to take any action.

The complaint further details that despite knowing about a previous complaint made against Cortes for exposing himself to children at the aquatic complex, Glenview Park District allowed him to continue working there. This led to Jane Doe B's sexual exploitation on January 20th. The plaintiff is seeking trial by jury for this negligence.
