The Zurich American Insurance Company has filed a lawsuit against Wiley Scott Rogers in the United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois, under case number 1:24-cv-03457, on April 29, 2024. The suit alleges that Rogers failed to comply with certain contractual and legal obligations he owes to Zurich.

Rogers entered into an employment agreement with Zurich on March 30, 2010, which allowed him to sell Zurich insurance products and services. As part of this agreement, Rogers agreed not to solicit or accept any business similar to Zurich's from any person or entity who was a customer or prospective customer of Zurich for one year following the termination of his employment.

Rogers' employment with Zurich ended on August 11, 2023. After his departure from Zurich, Rogers began working for Insurance Office of America (IOA), a competitor of Zurich. Despite being reminded of his obligations by Zurich on August 1, 2023, and again on March 14, 2024, Rogers allegedly continued soliciting Zurich customers.

Zurich is seeking judgment against Rogers for his failure to comply with the terms of their Employment Agreement. They claim that Rogers has solicited at least five Zurich customers since his departure from the company and are seeking damages as a result.
