In the United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois, Eastern Division, Curtis Hill has filed a lawsuit against Ramrod Distribution, Inc., an Illinois corporation. The case ID is 1:24-cv-03789 and was filed on May 9, 2024. Hill alleges that Ramrod did not pay him the full and proper amount of overtime wages earned and owed to him for all time worked in excess of forty hours in a work week.
Hill, represented by Vaziri Law LLC, was a former hourly employee at Ramrod from June 2021 through February 2022. He claims that despite regularly working more than 40 hours per week as a truck driver delivering cleaning supplies and industrial equipment, he was not compensated at one and half times his regular rate of $19 per hour for overtime as required by law.
The plaintiff seeks an award for all unpaid overtime wages he earned during his employment with Ramrod. Additionally, he demands liquidated damages equal to the amount of all unpaid overtime wages, pre-judgment and post-judgment interest as provided by law, attorneys’ fees and costs of this action pursuant to 29 U.S.C. § 216(b), and any further relief allowed by law that the court deems appropriate.
