HeplerBroom’s Tanya de Chavez recently received a 2024 City Colleges of Chicago Luminary Award. Recipients of this award are nominated by fellow students, faculty, and staff to honor their significant contributions to improving the colleges’ working and learning environment, and their communities. As a Luminary Award recipient, Chavez’s stellar academic performance was highlighted along with the impact she’s made on her community as the Co-Chair for the Executive Board of the Young Professionals Advisory Council for Mujeres Latinas Acción.
In addition to her responsibilities as office manager for the firm’s Chicago office, de Chavez recently graduated from Malcom X College with Honors. She will attend the University of Illinois Chicago where she will double major in Business Administration and Public Policy.
