Nelson Mullins Riley & Scarborough LLP, a full-service national law firm with offices from coast to coast, is pleased to welcome partner Jeff Schieber to its litigation practice group in Chicago. Schieber joins from Taft Stettinius & Hollister and works on the firm’s Midwest Commercial Litigation Team.

“As a leader in commercial litigation, Jeff is a welcomed addition to the Chicago office,” said office managing partner Scott McMillin. “And with the rise in data privacy and cybersecurity litigation, Jeff’s experience will greatly strengthen our ability to service clients in those areas.”

Schieber has more than a decade of experience in litigation and concentrates his practice in matters of commercial litigation, class actions, and mass torts. He regularly represents clients in a variety of business litigation matters including breach of contract, fraud, data breach, and employment disputes. He earned his J.D. from the University of Chicago Law School and his undergraduate degree from Drake University.

“I’m excited to join the Nelson Mullins Chicago office. The firm’s depth and footprint will serve my clients well, and I couldn’t pass on the opportunity to work with a group of outstanding lawyers to help expand our Chicago presence,” Schieber said.

Nelson Mullins opened its Chicago office in April 2023 with four attorneys. It has quadrupled its size since then with the current headcount at 16.
