Tressler is excited to welcome Sayra V. Contreras as an associate in our HOA Practice Group. Sayra concentrates her practice in litigation with a focus on representing condominium associations and common interest community associations in areas such as rule enforcement, interpretation of governing documents, review and negotiation of contracts and collection of assessments.

I am eager to use my skills to help our clients navigate complex legal challenges in today’s ever-evolving legal landscape," said Sayra Contreras.Prior to joining Tressler LLP, Sayra worked as an associate attorney at a real estate firm in Chicago, representing residential and commercial real estate owners. She effectively litigated a multitude of cases dealing with landlord-tenant disputes.
During law school, Sayra had a 10-week fellowship working at the Farmworker & Landscaper Advocacy Project (FLAP), a non-profit organization based in Chicago. FLAP works to improve the working conditions for thousands of migrant and seasonal workers in the agricultural and landscaping industries in Illinois. As a law student, Sayra also participated in the UIC John Marshall International Human Rights Clinic providing a wide range of immigration services. She was also an insurance defense law clerk and a teaching assistant for her criminal law professor.
Sayra earned her J.D. from University of Illinois Chicago School of Law and her B.A. in Sociology with a minor in political science from Northern Illinois University.
