Thompson Coburn announced that Emory D. Moore has joined the firm as a partner in the Labor & Employment practice in Chicago, where he will represent employers in complex employment litigation and human resources compliance matters.
Moore represents employers in complex labor and employment litigation, including restrictive covenant, trade secret, wage and hour, and executive compensation matters. He also provides trusted strategic counsel to clients navigating day-to-day employment law issues, internal investigations and transformative transactions such as mergers and acquisitions, reductions in force and executive employment agreement negotiations.
“I am pleased to be joining a highly accomplished Labor & Employment practice that aligns so well with my existing practice and client interests,” said Moore. “I look forward to collaborating with my new colleagues and contributing to the continued expansion of our work across the country.”
His arrival to the firm builds on the momentum of the national Labor & Employment team’s growth in recent months, including the additions of partners Becky Christensen in St. Louis and employee benefits and ERISA attorney Michael Graham in Chicago.
Moore collaborates with clients to align their employment solutions with their overall business goals, bringing invaluable support to their daily human resources operations to maintain effective practices and remain in compliance with ever-changing laws.
“Emory is a fantastic addition to our national Labor & Employment practice,” said Thompson Coburn partner Laura Jordan, chair of the firm’s Litigation department and co-chair of the Labor & Employment practice group. “The trust he has established with clients and his depth of experience advocating for them in contentious employment matters are assets that will continue to propel the growth of our service offerings.”
Moore earned his J.D. degree from Washington University School of Law (WashU Law) in St. Louis. He also holds a Bachelor of Arts in Finance from Michigan State University.
