A former employee has filed a lawsuit against his previous employer, alleging severe violations of civil rights and privacy. On December 11, 2024, Peter Andricopulos initiated legal action in the United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois against Depotrek Logistics, LLC, doing business as Team One Logistics, LLC. The complaint accuses the company of sex-based discrimination, harassment, and retaliation under Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964.

Peter Andricopulos claims that during his tenure as a lead mechanic from July 13, 2022, to August 29, 2024, he was subjected to discriminatory practices based on his sex. According to the complaint, Andricopulos was required to download an app on his personal phone for work purposes. However, this app allegedly allowed a foreman named Dan Gould to access private photos on Andricopulos's phone without consent. The complaint states that Gould shared explicit images of Andricopulos and his wife with others at the workplace. "This violation of privacy had served no legitimate business purpose," asserts the complaint.

Andricopulos reported this breach to his manager but was suspended without pay shortly after on August 28, 2024. The following day, he was terminated from his position based on what he claims were false accusations that he threatened Gould. Meanwhile, Gould received only a suspension and retained his employment with the company. Andricopulos argues that this series of events constitutes unlawful retaliation for opposing harassment and discrimination.

The plaintiff is seeking various forms of relief from the court including back pay with interest, compensatory and punitive damages, attorneys' fees and costs, and any other relief deemed appropriate by the court. He demands a jury trial to resolve these issues.

The case is being handled by attorney Chad W. Eisenback from Sulaiman Law Group Ltd., representing Peter Andricopulos. It has been filed under Case ID: 1:24-cv-12706 in front of judges at the Northern District of Illinois.
