After nearly three decades of service as a strong client advocate in a multitude of complex insurance matters, Clausen Miller has elected Colleen Beverly to serve on its Board of Directors.
“Colleen has been an incredible asset to the Firm for over 26 years,” President and CEO Dennis Fitzpatrick commented. “Her strong leadership and rigorous work ethic make her a valuable addition to the Board, and we are delighted for her to assume this new role.”
Colleen began her career at Clausen Miller as a law clerk during her first year of law school, working in the firm library and filing documents in both federal and state court in between classes. Recognizing her potential, the firm hired her as a summer associate between her second and third year of law school and then brought her on as a full-time associate after graduation. In 2007, she was promoted to partner and became a shareholder in 2018, three years after her fourth child was born.
Colleen represents insurance companies throughout the United States in a variety of complex liability insurance coverage matters, including, but not limited to, environmental, toxic tort, construction defect, directors and officers liability, advertising injury and reinsurance claims. She has tried numerous insurance coverage cases involving millions of dollars of insurance coverage limits and has participated in the mediation of many large-scale, multi-party insurance coverage disputes. She also consults with clients on pre-litigation matters, offering counseling advice on coverage positions and reservation of rights letters.
