His representations cover a wide range of industries and businesses, including nationwide retailers, heavy truck and equipment manufacturers, real estate, oil refineries, pharmaceuticals, construction contractors and subcontractors, mutual fund advisers, processed food manufacturers and scrap metal dealers.
With Knott’s election, Reed Smith’s Insurance Recovery Group is now home to 12 ACCC fellows; the others are James Cooper, Amber Finch, David Halbreich, Nicholas Insua, Hugh Lumpkin, Chris Mosley, Stephen Raptis, Douglas Rawles, Carolyn Rosenberg, John Shugrue and John Vishneski.
The ACCC is an invitation-only organization of senior U.S., Canadian and Bermudan lawyers who have devoted most of their practice to insurance disputes for 15 years or more. It provides educational resources for judiciary, legal and insurance professionals, law students and businesses and focuses on insurance law, trial practice, alternative dispute resolution, policy formation and claims handling.
