Shocking allegations of workplace misconduct have surfaced in a new lawsuit, capturing the attention of many concerned about corporate accountability and employee rights. Shana Miller filed a complaint on March 21, 2025, in the United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois against Flexport International LLC. The lawsuit alleges severe sexual harassment, sex-based discrimination, and retaliation under Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964.

The narrative unfolds with Shana Miller's tenure as an Area Outbound Manager at Flexport International LLC from April 2024 to January 2025. During this period, she claims to have faced continuous harassment from her superior, Kyle, an Operations Manager. According to Miller, Kyle made inappropriate comments about her race and gender and coerced her into attending social events under threat of termination. "If you do not go to this concert with me, you'll be fired," Kyle allegedly told her. Despite her refusal and attempts to maintain professionalism, Kyle reportedly continued his inappropriate behavior by accessing her phone without permission and sending himself flattering messages from her computer.

Miller's attempts to address these issues internally were met with inadequate responses from the company. Her reports to Eugene, another manager at Flexport, resulted in temporary schedule changes for Kyle but failed to prevent further harassment or protect Miller's position within the company. The situation escalated when Miller was terminated on January 28, 2025—an action she believes was retaliatory due to her complaints about the harassment.

The lawsuit details multiple violations of Title VII protections against sexual harassment and discrimination based on sex. It accuses Flexport International LLC of failing to conduct a thorough investigation into Miller's complaints and neglecting necessary precautions to prevent further misconduct. "Defendant acted in willful and reckless disregard of Plaintiff's protected rights," states the complaint.

Miller seeks various forms of relief through this legal action. She demands back pay and benefits lost due to her termination, compensatory damages for emotional distress suffered during her employment, punitive damages for the company's alleged misconduct, as well as injunctive relief to prevent future occurrences at Flexport International LLC. Additionally, she requests coverage for reasonable attorney’s fees incurred during this process.

Representing Shana Miller is Chad W. Eisenback from Sulaiman Law Group Ltd., based in Lombard, Illinois. The case is identified under Case ID: 1:25-cv-02999 in front of the United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois.
