Swanson, Martin & Bell, LLP’s Entertainment and Media Law Practice Group will host its seventh annual music showcase, Sound of Summer, on Tuesday, June 10, 2025, at the House of Blues Chicago.

Founded in 2015, Sound of Summer is an annual event dedicated to raising funds for charitable causes through the celebration of music. More than just a concert, it brings together a vibrant community of music lovers, artists, industry professionals, and volunteers to create a unique and unforgettable experience. This year, the event will benefit the Save The Music Foundation, a leading U.S. nonprofit committed to helping students, schools, and communities reach their full potential through music education. For nearly 30 years, Save The Music Foundation has focused on supporting culturally rich communities by investing in music education. The foundation has donated over $75 million in instruments and resources to more than 2,800 schools, positively impacting millions of students nationwide.

The firm welcomes four amazing artists to perform at House of Blues on June 10, 2025, including:

Crash Adams. Crash Adams’ pop songs carry the same kind of mood-boosting power as a hit of pure dopamine. After years of developing their magnetic personalities on social media, the Toronto-bred duo brought their energy to the world with the video for their nostalgic breakthrough single “Give Me a Kiss.” The duo has organically built an online fan base and found their niche with videos highlighting their positive attitude, vibrant suits, and iconic red couch from Crash’s grandmother’s house. 2024 was a breakout year for Crash Adams. The group has taken their music around the world, with stops in Dubai, Singapore, Indonesia, and the Philippines.  In addition to these international stops, the band completed a North American headlining tour that included a sold-out show in their hometown of Toronto, Canada.

The Scarlet Opera. The Scarlet Opera blends theatrical grandeur with rock and roll energy. Since their debut in 2022, they have captivated audiences with their dynamic sound. Fronted by lyricist Luka Bazulka, the band includes Colin Kenrick (keyboard), Daniel Zuker (bass), Justin Siegal (drums), and Chance Taylor (guitar). Their journey began when Colin invited longtime friends to enhance Luka's solo performance. Following the release of their second EP, “Mirror Mirror,” they went on a sold-out national tour in summer 2024, highlighted by a stunning show at BottleRock Napa Valley. Most recently, they collaborated with producer Rick Nowels on a successful cover of Belinda Carlisle’s “Heaven Is A Place On Earth.”

Hayes Warner. Named one of People’s Emerging Artists to Watch, Hayes Warner is gaining rapid momentum. Her first single of 2024, “Just a Girl,” climbed to #34 on the Top 40 U.S. radio chart, while her latest release, “Oh!” produced by Zhone, debuted at #29 on the HITS 1 countdown and generated significant social media buzz. Her July 2024 single, “Predator,” became a viral hit, accumulating millions of views and securing a spot in “POWER” rotation on Sirius XM's Hits1. A graduate of Northwestern's musical theater program, Hayes signed a publishing deal with Glassnote Records and has created music for major clients, including Netflix and Disney. She plans to continue her momentum with the release of her debut EP this Spring.

Manwolves. Manwolves has become a prominent musical force in Chicago, skillfully blending alternative, rock, hip-hop, and jazz influences. The quintet—Jamie McNear (vocals), Eli Cohen (guitar), Henry Wolf (bass), Julian Freeman (drums), and Ari Garfin (keys)—has amassed over 65 million plays across platforms and secured spots on major playlists like Spotify's "Low-Key" and Apple Music's "Travis Mills Show." They have reached #3 on Spotify's Viral Chart and performed alongside notable acts such as Ric Wilson, Omar Apollo, and Boy Pablo, earning spots at major festivals like SXSW and Bonnaroo. Recently, Manwolves has embraced a rawer sound that challenges their musical boundaries. With new music set for Spring 2025, they continue to evolve while remaining connected through a decade-long friendship, which enriches their captivating and genre-defying sound.

Doors open at the House of Blues at 6:00 p.m. Tickets can be purchased on the Sound of Summer website or directly through House of Blues/Live Nation. Raffle tickets will also be sold, with 100% of the proceeds benefitting the Save The Music Foundation.

“We could not be more excited to have such a dynamic set of artists performing this year, and are very pleased to partner with them to raise funds to support Save the Music Foundation,” said Jeffrey S. Becker, Founder of Sound of Summer and Chair of SMB Entertainment & Media Law Practice Group.
