A former employee has filed a lawsuit against her previous employer, alleging severe workplace misconduct and discrimination. On March 24, 2025, Sarah Gadamowitz filed a complaint in the United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois against Waldom Electronics Corporation. The complaint outlines allegations of sexual harassment, sex-based discrimination, and retaliation under Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964.

Sarah Gadamowitz claims that during her tenure at Waldom Electronics Corporation as a Team Lead of Recovery from November 2019 until February 10, 2025, she was subjected to a hostile work environment due to her sex. The lawsuit details how her supervisor, Daniel Presley, engaged in persistent surveillance and inappropriate behavior towards her starting in 2023. According to the complaint, Presley monitored security cameras to track Gadamowitz's movements and attempted to isolate her by following her around the workplace. Despite reporting these incidents to Human Resources (HR), no effective action was taken to address or stop Presley's conduct.

The complaint further alleges that Mr. Presley made explicit comments and contacted Gadamowitz outside work hours with inappropriate messages. In one instance, he referenced a song with sexual innuendo towards her. These actions created an unsafe work environment for Gadamowitz, leading to emotional distress and fear for her safety. When she reported these issues again in January 2025 seeking protection from HR, instead of improving, the situation worsened with Presley escalating his intimidating behavior.

Gadamowitz asserts that Waldom Electronics Corporation failed to take necessary steps to prevent or correct the unlawful harassment and retaliation she faced. As a result of this neglect by HR and management's indifference towards her complaints, she felt forced into an impossible position where continuing employment meant enduring ongoing harassment or leaving for personal safety reasons—leading to what she describes as constructive discharge on February 10, 2025.

In this legal battle against Waldom Electronics Corporation, Sarah Gadamowitz seeks several forms of relief from the court: back pay with benefits; interest on back pay; front pay; compensatory damages for emotional suffering; pre-judgment and post-judgment interest; injunctive relief; punitive damages; reasonable attorney’s fees along with costs incurred during litigation proceedings—and any other equitable relief deemed just by the court.

Representing Sarah Gadamowitz is attorney Peyton M. Paschke from Sulaiman Law Group Ltd., while details about Waldom Electronics Corporation's legal representation remain undisclosed at this time. The case is identified as Case No.: 3:25-cv-50130 within judicial records.
