Swanson, Martin & Bell, LLP Partner Jeffery S. Becker recently served as a panelist at the Association of Schools of Journalism and Mass Communication (ASJMC) 2025 Conference, held on March 20, 2025. This year's conference, themed "Technology Innovation and Entrepreneurship as Catalysts for Change," focused on equipping students with the skills needed for professional success by delving into the latest advancements in technology, innovation, and entrepreneurship.

Becker joined fellow industry experts for a session titled "Innovation in Storytelling & Production," where they explored the transformative impact of technology on commercial advertising and entertainment. Through this discussion, Becker shared valuable insights into how evolving technologies are shaping the future of content creation and distribution.

The ASJMC is a nonprofit educational association representing journalism and mass communication programs at the college and university level.

Jeffrey S. Becker founded the firm's Entertainment and Media Law Practice Group in 2013. His clients include Grammy Award-winning musicians, producers and songwriters, publishers and record labels, professional athletes, authors, independent filmmakers, and other creative individuals and entertainment-related businesses. Becker has served as secretary on the Recording Academy's Board of Governors for the Chicago Chapter and co-chair of its Legislative Advocacy Committee.
