Lawyers for Cook County are arguing the county can continue its lawsuit in Cook County court against Facebook, which alleges the company let user data be mined to aid President Donald Trump’s election campaign, because Facebook drew a bull's-eye on Illinois residents.

ELGIN -- A state appeals court has ruled an insurance company was right to deny a claim that a policy was not enforceable due to a supplementary provision relating to an intoxicated driver operating a vehicle.

SPRINGFIELD -- The Illinois Supreme Court ruled a woman cannot sue the court-appointed guardian ad litem she alleges did not protect her assets when she was a minor. In its opinion, the court included a plea to the General Assembly to clarify the meaning of guardian ad litem and ensure it is used consistently across statutes.
