Woman dismisses lawsuit vs eye doctor over alleged misconduct

Cook county courthouse 03

A Chicago woman has dismissed her lawsuit against an ophthalmologist she had accused of misconduct.

The woman had filed a lawsuit June 22 in Cook County Circuit Court against Dr. Brad Anstadt of Buffalo Grove and Tennenbaum & Anstadt, alleging she had been improperly touched while she worked at Gottlieb Eye Center.

However, Cook County Circuit Court records indicate she voluntarily dismissed her lawsuit in September 2015.

The plaintiff alleged distress, humiliation, depression and anxiety, and had sought remedy under the Gender Violence Act, including compensatory and punitive damages, plus attorney fees and costs. She was represented by attorney Shannon McDonald of McDonald & Kloth in Chicago.

Cook County Circuit Court case number 2015L0006331.
