Target sued after woman slips while shopping

A woman is suing Target over a slip and fall incident.

Christian Nelson filed a lawsuit Nov. 7 in Cook County Circuit Court against Target & Starbucks Cafe.

According to the complaint, Nelson was a customer at the Target store at 2209 W. Howard St. in Evanston on July 20, 2012.

She claims the defendants allowed a leak to exist in the area of the Starbucks Cafe inside Target, and sustained injuries after slipping and falling on a substance on the floor.

Nelson is seeking damages in excess of the jurisdictional limit and is represented by attorney Cannon D. Lambert of Karchmar & Lambert P.C.
