A man who claims he was injured by a nightclub employee is suing for negligence.
Luis Cardona filed a lawsuit Nov. 7 in Cook County Circuit Court against Little Village Concessions LLC, doing business as K-OZ.
According to the complaint, the defendant owned and managed a nightclub known as K-OZ at 2501 S. Kedzie Ave. in Chicago. Cardona claims he was at the nightclub on Jan. 21, when he went outside of the club to smoke a cigarette near the front entrance.
While he was outside and standing near the entrance, the suit states a nightclub employee attempted to physically move Cardona, which caused him to fall to the ground and sustain a substantial injury.
Cardona is seeking damages in excess of $50,000. He is represented in the case by Chicago attorney Michael Cushing.
