Scales2

A woman is suing over a slip and fall incident at Thorek Memorial Hospital.

Alice Hill-Sellars, also known as Alice Hill and Alice Sellars, filed a lawsuit Nov. 12 in Cook County Circuit Court against Thorek Memorial Hospital and Thorek Memorial Foundation, citing negligence.

According to the complaint, Hill-Sellars sustained serious injuries on Nov. 13, 2011 when she fell while a patient at Thorek Memorial Hospital at 850 W. Irving Park Road in Chicago.

The plaintiff claims she slipped and fell on water that was on the floor in the bathroom from a clogged and overflowing toilet. She alleges that the defendants failed to maintain the area, failed to correct the known unsafe condition, failed to warn the plaintiff and failed to keep the floor dry, clean and safe.

Alice Hill-Sellars is seeking damages in excess of the jurisdictional minimum. She is being represented in the case by Pope & Jaburek PC.
