Sharon Ike filed a lawsuit Nov. 20 in the Cook County Circuit Court on Nov. 20 against Wal-Mart Stores Inc. over a slip and fall incident.
In her suit, Ike claims she was injured when she slipped and fell on liquid that Walmart had negligently allowed to accumulate on the floor.
According to her complaint, Ike was at the Walmart at 940 Mount Prospect Plaza in Mount Prospect in February when the incident occurred.
She contends that Walmart had a duty to keep its premises safe for customers and it breached that duty by allowing liquid to accumulate. Ike asserts she was seriously injured when she slipped and fell and now seeks to hold the defendants liable for her injuries.
Ike is seeking damages in excess of the minimum jurisdictional requirements. She is being represented by the Ankin Law Office LLC.
