A woman is suing a business over claims she tripped and fell on a floor mat.
Michelle Woodman filed a lawsuit Dec. 5 in the Cook County Circuit Court against Interpark Incorporated, citing negligence.
According to the complaint, the defendant owned property at 181 N. Dearborn St. in Chicago. Woodman claims she was a customer at Interpark and walking in the Dearborn Street south lobby of the property on Dec. 7, 2011, when she slipped and fell on a floor mat that was bent up.
She is seeking damages in excess of $50,000 and is being represented by attorney David Nemeroff of Nemeroff Law Offices Ltd.
