Hartford Casualty Insurance sues seeking reimbursement

Scales

An insurance company is suing, seeking reimbursement for money it paid out over a collision.

Hartford Casualty Insurance Co., as subrogee of Internal Imaging LLC, doing business as First Peek Ultrasound, filed a lawsuit Dec. 9 in the Circuit Court of Cook County against Victor H. Cisneros, H & S Restaurant Inc., doing business as Valentino Club Cafe, and Hamid Rusef, citing negligence and dram shop act violation.

Hartford Casualty claims it should be reimbursed by the defendants for money it paid to First Peek Ultrasound after Cisneros collided with First Peek Ultrasound's building at 7121 W. North Ave. in Oak Park.

The complaint states Cisneros was served alcoholic beverages at Valentino Club Cafe the night of the accident.

Hartford Casualty alleges it paid $41,564.24 for the damages incurred to First Peek Ultrasound's property and is seeking to recoup that money, plus costs.

The plaintiff is being represented by Joshua J. Whiteside of Grotefeld Hoffman Schleiter Gordon & Ochoa LLP.
