A delivery man is suing a handful of companies over claims he suffered injuries in a fall.
Lawrence J. Faletti filed a lawsuit Dec. 6 in the Cook County Circuit Court against Owens Corning Corp., Owens Corning Roofing & Asphalt LLC, Owens Corning Science & Technology LLC and Owens Corning Fiberglass Technology Inc., citing negligence.
According to the complaint, the defendants were engaged in manufacturing and selling roofing materials, including asphalt shingles, at 5824 S. Archer Ave. in Summit and Faletti was employed on Jan. 6, 2012 as a truck driver, making deliveries of fly-ash to the defendants' premises.
While making the deliveries, he claims he was walking on a paved lot to connect a hose to the defendants' silos and tanks when he stepped into a 6 to 8 inch deep hole in the pavement, causing severe injuries to his right leg.
Faletti is seeking damages in excess of $50,000. He is being represented in the case by attorney Robert B. Patterson.
