A tenant is suing her landlord over injuries she allegedly sustained when the ceiling of the rental property collapsed.
Vickie Connor filed a lawsuit Dec. 2 in the Cook County Circuit Court against Rolando Trevino-Valdez, citing negligence.
According to the complaint, Connor was a tenant of the defendant's property at 1115 Charles St. in Aurora on Aug. 14, 2012 and notified him that there was a leak in the ceiling.
She claims she was injured when the ceiling fell and that the Trevino-Valdez negligently managed the premises and failed to repair the premises.
Connor is seeking more than $50,000 in damages and is being represented by the Law Office of Andrew S. Kryder LLC.
