Nursing home resident alleges negligence over hip fracture

A man is suing over claims he fractured his hip while a resident at a Robbins nursing home.

Ronald Campbell filed a lawsuit May 16 in the Cook County Circuit Court against Lydia Healthcare LLC and Lydia Healthcare Inc., alleging violations of the Illinois Nursing Home Care Act.

According to the suit, Campbell was a resident of Lydia Healthcare in Robbins beginning 1997 and on May 18, 2012, suffered from a hip fracture and pressure sores. The defendant is accused of violating the Nursing Home Care Act by allegedly being negligent in caring for Campbell.

Campbell is seeking more than $100,000 in damages and is being represented by Craig L. Manchik and Lynne Plum Duffey of the Law Offices of Craig L. Manchik & Associates P.C.
