The estate of a man is suing a long-term care facility in Burbank for allegedly providing inadequate care.
Malgorzata Czochara, as independent administrator of the Estate of Ludwik Grabiec, filed a lawsuit April 29 in the Cook County Circuit Court against THI of Illinois at Brentwood LLC, doing business as Brentwood Sub-Acute Healthcare Center, and Brentwood Operating Co. LLC, doing business as Brentwood Sub-Acute Healthcare Center, alleging wrongful death, negligence and violations of the Illinois Nursing Home Care Act.
According to the complaint, Grabiec was admitted to the defendants' facility on May 1, 2013. While a resident there, Czochara claims the defendants failed to prevent Grabiec from falling and properly treat his medical conditions.
Czochara is seeking more than $50,000 in damages and is being represented in the case by Michael J. Eisenberg of Law Offices of Steven J. Malman & Associates PC.
