A Cook County man is suing a toy retailer, claiming its negligent stacking of merchandise caused him injuries.
Gonzalo De Luna filed a lawsuit June 26 in the Cook County Circuit Court against Toys "R" Us-Delaware Inc., doing business as Toys "R" Us, and Toys "R" Us Inc.
According to the complaint, De Luna was at the Toys "R" Us on Western Avenue on Sept. 16, 2012, when he was injured as a result of how the store stacked its merchandise.
De Luna is seeking more than $50,000 in damages and is being represented in the case by attorney Joseph W. Lauer of Whiteside & Goldberg Ltd. in Chicago.
