Scales

A Chicago contractor is suing over claims a client has failed to pay for a restoration project.

Bruno Next Generation Construction Inc. filed a lawsuit June 26 in the Cook County Circuit Court against Erie Street Investors LLC and Wells Street Management LLC, alleging breach of contract.

According to the complaint, Eerie Street Investors, through Wells Street Management, contracted Bruno Next Generation Construction for the restoration of the facade of property at 343 W. Erie St. in Chicago on Sept. 8, 2010.

Bruno Next Generation alleges the contract totaled $117,000 and work on the project was completed May 3, 2011, but after several payments, the defendants have failed to pay the remaining balance of $60,450 that was due June 3, 2011.

The suit includes counts against the defendants for breach of contract, unjust enrichment and breach of the duty of good faith and fair dealing.

Bruno Next Generation Construction is seeking the $60,450 allegedly owed, plus attorney's fees and damages. It is being represented by attorneys at Gonzalez, Saggio & Harlan LLC in Chicago.
